    About

Loved this little bunny when I saw the pattern and decided to make her to sit under my Easter Tree. I loved that the ears were lined with material and I had enough left over from making the Kimekomi eggs to fit her out perfectly. I had hoped to crochet a little picnic blanket for her to sit on but ran out of time - maybe get that bit done for next year!

The crochet eggs on the tree were from a free pattern https://zeensandroger.com/2016/03/08/amigurumi-easter-egg-free-crochet-pattern/

Firstly I do not know why this project eluded me until Christmas!! I love Easter much more than Christmas, I love rabbits and next year I will have an Easter Tree (who knew!) I had never heard of Kimekomi eggs and looked them up and hopefully I shall have some of them for Easter too. A bit of light in the dark of winter all very inspiring only wish I had seen it sooner x

Thanks Sarah, I thoroughly enjoyed making Bonnie and the tree ornaments. Not sure if an "Easter Tree" is a real thing or not, but I bought the tree from Hobbycraft and intended to make different things to hang on it for different holidays/seasons. To my shame I only managed Easter due to doing a lot of work towards a kitchen extension which is just about finished. I hope to make more use of the tree in 2020. YouTube has loads of helpful videos on the Kimekomi eggs, some simple, some more complex so I hope you have fun trying them out! x

@Liz M: The tree for all seasons sounds like a good idea to me. Have been catching up on a few Kimekomi tutorials and already have some polystyrene on the way to try a this new skill in the new year. Happy hols x
