I made this for A blind woman in Malawi. Our church makes and donates baby clothes and these large blankets for blind women in Malawi.

    About

They use these blankets to carry their babies on their back.
Due to poor health I spend hours attached to a medical drip so knitting really helps me pass the time as well as remind me how fortunate I am.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 5.50mm (US 9) 60cm

    Accessories

Other : A wool sewing needle is needed to thread any joined wool. It is useful to spilt the yarn into smaller threads which weave in and are more easily hidden.

    Measurements

Notes: I used 160 stitches and a finished length of 1 metre or 39”. This would fit a child’s full size English cot or make a lovely knee blanket for someone who is elderly or feels the cold.
