    About

In October 2018, after a long battle with stress and depression, I had to give up my job. I was feeling useless and demotivated when I picked up this project and the yarn I'd purchased over a year before. It was the perfect solution. The lower part is very straightforward and even in my low state well within my capabilities. By the time I reached the cable yoke I was ready for the challenge of my first texture project and after a few false starts I found it fascinating and very satisfying.

Knitting is very calming - I love the rhythm of the pattern and the sensual pleasure of a lovely yarn moving through my fingers. At a time when I felt I had little to offer I was still able to pick it up for a few minutes and create something lovely.

Becky seems very pleased with it. She lives in Copenhagen, where they know a thing or two about jumpers, and it's brought her compliments when she wears it to work. It also keeps her warm when she's commuting by bike.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 3.25mm (US 3) 35cm
    • Single Point 2.75mm (US 2) 35cm

    Accessories

    • Cable Needle
    • Stitch Holder
Other : I used a small cable needle, stitch holders, a row counter and a crochet hook, which was essential for picking up dropped stitches.

    Measurements

Notes: I used the smallest size and found the sleeves rather long, so I shortened them slightly. I found the neck quite large and ended up adjusting the front rib slightly to tighten it up, but since it's quite a slouchy style that's ok
