This was a stash buster project. I found 2 skeins of Cascade Venezia Sport and a little bit of lace weight pink merino and a package of pink buttons that matched the pink yarn. I used the pink yarn double and it worked fine. Venezia is excellent yarn - it survived several episodes of rework. It seems to not split or pill and is very strong. Not ideal for babies though - hand wash only. The pattern (another excellent one from OGE Designs) is interesting. A little bit of simple fair isle, a different kind of ribbing, nice detail on the raglans and the little loops for the buttons were fun to make (youtube video). The only drawback is all the seaming. Overall, a really fun pattern for an intermediate knitter, and in spite of all the tedious seaming, I would make this pattern again.
