    About

I received this yarn as a birthday gift and thought the leafy green color would be perfect for this leaf placket cardigan. I used the stitch count for the largest size (11 year old), size 2 needles and sock yarn. So it's a baby sweater. My camera just doesn't pick up colors correctly. It's sort of half way between avocado and grass. This is a fun pattern. You can go into a knitting coma except for the 13 stitches of the leaf pattern on each row of the body.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 2.75mm (US 2) 100cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Buttons
    • Stitch Markers

    Measurements

    9-12 months

Notes: The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn. I used sock yarn, so this ended up as a baby sweater. I used the stitch count for size 10/11 years (plus and few extra stitches), and just guessed at the length.
Length of sweater is 12 inches.
    Chest circumference is 20 inches.
I had yarn left over and could (should) have made it a little bit bigger. 500 yards of yarn in one skein goes a long way.

Very pretty pattern! I really like the leaf motif and the gathering in the back. I'm sure this will be a treasured gift.

Thank you, Susan P. Yes, it is a nifty pattern. The back ruffle is just 30 increases (KFB) in a row.
