Knitting cardigans for any little babies that come along, using wool from my stash. Slightly changed this pattern as I didn’t do the collar and just knitted a normal neck band.
Hi Paula, thanks for your kind comments. Firstly are the sleeves sewn up if they are, I always pin them in place, that way you can make adjustments before you sewn them in place. Now it depends on the type of sleeve finish, but as long as your edges meet and your happy with the look, sew them in place . I start at the top pin so that is at the top of the cardigan and sleeve shoulder area and work my way round don’t stretch the work as it will pucker the finished cardigan, hope that helps x
Hi Alison. Like your other baby jackets, this is very sweet! I'm not a knitter myself, and it still seems like a wonderful mystery to me with my little crochet hook! I recently inherited a hand knitted baby matinee jacket from my nana. It's completed except that the arms are not yet attached to the arm holes - do you have any advice on how to do this? It's acrylic 4ply yarn, I believe and I have some of the original ball left. Any tips I'd be grateful for!!
Another very pretty cardigan Alison, love the colours, and the little star buttons.
Baby cardigans are great for using the odd balls of yarn from your stash 😊
