    About

I haven't knitted in over 8 years. When hurricane Michael went through one of our barns had a tree go through the middle of it, creating the necessity of going through all of the boxes that have been stored in there since we moved in 2010. Upon going through all of the boxes, we found my stash of yarn and all of my needles, undamaged from being in storage or the storm. So I decided to pick it up again now that I have daughters of my own to teach. I had enough yard in the right colors to have my first "get back into the swing of things" project to be a blanket for my nephew for Christmas. It is like all of the pieces have fallen together to get me back into knitting, something I had enjoyed doing some time ago.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 6.00mm (US 10) 40cm

    Measurements

    27" X 38"

Notes: Because I was using what yarn I had on hand, I did not have enough of any color to complete this as a double knit blanket as instructed. I did it as a single knit, but it is just as nice.

Your blanket is lovely, and how lucky was that finding that pretty wool.

Thank you so much and yes I was very excited to find that stash of yarn. I have something similar in a mauve color, hoping someone I know has a baby girl soon!
