    About

I’m using this pattern as a ‘stash buster’ as I had several full 100g balls of DK yarn left over from a throw I made last year and I need to make room to buy more yarn!

It’s not an easy pattern to follow- I don’t understand some of the terminology- but the shape seems simple enough so I’m pretty much making it up as I go along. It’ll be interesting to see if the end product is wearable!!

I’ve marked the crochet technique as ‘beginner’ because it uses only double crochet (US), however, the wording of the pattern would probably give beginners a few problems. I’ve been crocheting for a couple of years now and some of the explanations make no sense to me at all!

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 4.00mm (US 6)
    • Crochet Hook 5.00mm (US 8)

    Accessories

    • Stitch Markers
Other : Stitch markers helped me to see where I was decreasing

    Measurements

    42-44

Notes: I needed the arms to increase at a sharper angle than the pattern shows.

      30th January- project abandoned

I’ve really struggled with this pattern. I just couldn’t seem to get the gauge right. Anyway, having completed the back and both fronts I pinned it together and tried it on only to find that it is way too small for me. I knew that I didn’t have enough yarn to complete a larger size and I couldn’t justify buying 6 more balls of yarn on the off-chance that I might make a wearable garment.

I think I’ll stick to scarves and blankets!
