    About

I saw this while browsing through the thousands of patterns on loveknitting & instantly fell in love with it, I saved it as a favourite & thought it would look beautiful on my daughters bed when she is a little older. What I hadn't realised was the pattern was for crochet, not knitting, I have never crocheted before but decided to give it a go. I taught myself the basic stitches using YouTube & once I felt comfortable with those I began my project. I found a really useful video on YouTube of this Blanket being worked by bonniebaycrochetc, I used this when I was stuck on a particular stitch, the only issue with this is the lady is following American crochet terms so please don't confuse this with the UK pattern. After 5 months I'm delighted to have completed my throw & delighted I have taught myself how to crochet along the way. It took far longer than I'd anticipated, with many mistakes corrected, lessons learned, lines ripped back & swear words uttered but I'm pleased with the outcome

What perseverance! Congratulations to you, an amazing story and beautiful finished project. I also use you tube a lot to learn new stitches in knitting, it's invaluable!
