I wanted to make a ruffled round rainbow blanket that was light and lacy and suitable for Southern California summer days. I couldn't find a suitable pattern so I developed my own. When I discovered King Cole Big Value Baby yarn in all the colors of the rainbow, it was a marriage made in heaven and I have made about a dozen of these beautiful blankets for carriage and car seat covers since then.

UPDATE: I finally published the pattern! Just go to my Etsy Shop and search for KittySewToo. I also have a completed blanket for sale. And since first developing this project, I now have TWO babies in my family who have received Ruffled Rainbows - a Grand Daughter and a Grand Niece. I have given many more Ruffled Rainbows away and have yet another in progress. I love making this blanket and hope you will too now that I have finally published the pattern.
