Being a person with a lot of anxiety, I was advised to find ways for myself to calm down.
In the car listening to loud music, in the bathroom washing my face with fresh water, in an isolated place screaming. These are some of my ‘calming places’.
But my most soothing place is the beach. Watching the waves having such a steady rhythm, yet being so unpredictable, takes me to another place.
About a year ago, I started knitting, then crocheting. After a few months, I realized that my ‘knitting time’ was another calming place for me! I found that I was treating my ‘disorder’ without even trying!
So, two of my calming places become one in these photos. The link is this crocheted rose. But what’s in a rose? What’s in this rose? My inspiration, my ‘calming place’ and…a lot of glue!
