This large Holiday Snowman pattern is very versatile. Hang him as a door or cabinet decoration or use him as a large table mat. However you choose to use him, he’s adorable! He’s about 14.5” tall by about 8” across his widest point. The pattern is fun to crochet. You will want to make at least one for your own holiday decor and several to give as gifts. You might like to personalize the scarf with school or team colors for the college student or sports fan on your gift list.
Worsted Weight Yarn - I used Red Heart Super Saver in the following colors: (approximate amounts) White,50 yards; Black, 8 yards for the buttons and face; Paddy Green, 8 yards for the hat; Cherry Red, 6 yards for the scarf ; Light Periwinkle Blue, 2 yards for the snowflake decoration on the hat; Carrot, 1 yard for the nose.
I've listed the pattern as intermediate due to shaping and color changes, but I think an advanced beginner would do fine. Includes 'how to" link for the embroidery stitches used for the face.
