After 50 years of crocheting for others as gifts and for special orders and sale, I had never- yes never- made anything for myself. I wanted to learn the corner to corner pattern and for some reason I was having a difficult time getting it right. Once I finally managed to learn it. I decided to makethis lap sized throw for myself as my first piece! It turned out great and it so pretty!!! I worked on it while I was teaching my 62 year old sister to crochet for the first time in her life- she had never done any kind of needlework or crafting and decided she wanted to learn so she could make scrubbies and also fill in some long boring winter hours sitting in my craft room with me sharing my love of crochet.
