    About

I liked the sweater yarn and its colour name - Noro Transitions (Marshmallow Toast) - pattern name Holly, and then came across the yarn for the hat by accident and could only get one ball so mixed it with some leftover baby alpaca in cream. The sweater and hat yarn are so close its hard to believe they aren't an exact match. I added a ribbing at the bottom because the roll up edge from the pattern did not provide protection from the weather as well as a fitted rib. The white edge along the collar was a complete accident, just where the colours ended up! Also only made about half the length on the collar and it flips up around your chin for warmth. The natural fibers all cling together to almost make it windproof. It is pricey yarn that is being discontinued and not at half price most places but can easily be changed to another bulky yarn.
