    About

I purchased a remnant of fabric specifically with this project in mind for my sister. Among the images on the remnant was one of a Wire Fox Terrier, which Chrissy owned at the time - Molly. I wanted to make her a couple of crochet cushions incorporating the remnant at the same time. By combining crochet work on one side in colours to match her room decor, and picking out a colour in the fabric too, I was able to create cushions with crochet one side and fabric the other. I blanket stitched around the fabric edge which gave me a row of yarn to crochet too on three sides. On the fourth side I extended the crochet to create a flap (rather like a pillowcase), which was then tucked in over the internal cushion pad. I made the fastening buttons by crocheting over some spare plastic buttons which were sewn on one edge and fastened into crocheted loops on the corresponding edge. Voila! In fond remembrance of Molly.

Thank you Sarah. Don't worry - I too have stashes of fabric waiting to be crafted into something.
