    About

Knitted these for a Christmas present for my Mum, who has cold feet at night; the merino-based Alegria yarn is so soft and cosy it's perfect for these. The pattern is a bit of a mash-up - the stitch texture is from the ringwood sock pattern, the shape is a (slightly altered) version of the slouchy socks I've done before and I added a picot cast on just for the fun of it...
The colours remind me of a winter dawn/dusk - one of those cold, calm days when the cotton-wool clouds turn pink and lavender against a baby blue sky at sunrise & sunset

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 2.25mm (US 1) 15cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers

    Measurements

    5-7

Notes: I used the Ringwood stitch pattern, but a looser-fitting shape from another pattern for these as I wanted them to be loose-fitting & comfortable for all-night wear - the stitch looks so nice, and was so easy to work, that I want to knit the pattern as written soon
