I started this cowl because I wanted to learn how to knit cables. However, this project has become kind of like therapy because my elderly father just died after I started this project. Although this is a sad and busy time (helping my mother), I still find a little time work on it. I find it very comforting.
I was too intimidated to try cables for years, but they aren't as tricky as they look, and yours look great. It's good to have a knitting project going for comfort.
