    About

Never having made myself a Beanie before and having a growing pile of leftover yarn I decided to make a ribbed one using Paintbox Simply Chunky in a neutral colour. However as it was left overs from another project I didn't have enough and had to improvise. All other yarn in my leftover stash was DK. So I swapped my 6.00mm hook for a 6.50mm one and decided to do 6 rows of starstitch to 'fill the gap'. Using slip stitch I joined the two short ends together to make a 'tube' and then stich ed around tge tip end and pulled it tight to close to top. Turning up the 'headband' I added a large wooden button to hide the wrong side seam stiching.
