    About

This striking tea cosy uses traditional Fair Isle patterns however they have been given a lift by the use of bright colours rather than the muster tones often used in Fair Isle. The Cosy is fully lined to keep you tea nice and hot. The beauty of this cosy is that it is knitted all in one piece except for the spout and handle openings which are picked up and knitted in garter stitch during the making up process. Knitted pom pom finish off this little Fair Isle work of Art. If you are not keen on this colour scheme I recommend taking seven balls of yarn and placing them side by side, mixing them around until you are happy with the colour scheme. If there is a colour which seems an odd one out try replacing it with something else. Remember warm colours tend to go with each other, reds yellows, oranges and earthy tones and cool colours go together - blues greens, purples, greys. The pattern is available now on Lovekniting

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 3.75mm (US 5) 15cm
    • Single Point 3.75mm (US 5) 25cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stuffing
Other : Take your time when making up the cosy. It is recommended that you block it out so the lining and Fair Isle piece fit together well. However there will be a little more fullness in the lining. this is nothing to worry about. Have fun knitting this colourfu
