This shawl went viral in my crochet groups on FaceBook. So I decided I needed to give it a try. I started it in October 2015 and got this far. I plan on making this extra extra large, and turning it into a skirt!
Kimmie, I just tried to write you, but I don't think I was successful in sending it. So I'll try again. I noticed a ruffled edge on your shawl that wasn't on the original pattern & I would really like to have the pattern with your addition. Your addition makes the shawl take on a more finished look, not to speak of the beauty. I make & give away prayer shawls & so I've made & given away more than I can keep up with. But when I saw yours I knew this was the one I wanted to make for me. Now if I can just manage to hang on to it! Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us!!
I don't know, can't remember, I used 2. Then I decided to make it into a skirt and used 4. The pattern is fun and beautiful, especially with this kind of yarn!
I found written instructions at:

I haven't made it yet but they look like nicely written instructions.
Beautiful shawl! I’ve made quite a few Virus Shawls and l learned from wonderful tutorials posted by a great guy who goes by the name Fiber Spider on YouTube. He is thorough and easy to learn from and follow. Try his tutorial over anyone else’s on YouTube for this shawl. He’s posted quite a few tutorials for other shawls, too. You’ll love them!
