. . . once uPon a time there was "Dumpster Dive & Roll". . . the good ole' days ! This precious crocheted silk victorian infant's bonnet was rescued from an Estate's very large dumpster, when found gently wrapped in an L. L. Berger box. Also found, numerous publications of early 1900's to 1950's NEEDLECRAFT & McCALL NEEDLEWORK.Too many years later, after MUCH researching for the unusual stitch that accents this vintage bonnet . . . and husband saying "...just put a KNOT in it..." . . . it was found !!! . . .of course, in the last one of the vintage publications. AND ! It's the perky "KNOT STITCH" !! Treasures are made from stories such as these! Truly, an echo of the past that wasn't meant to be lost. The instructions are written down here, but in a sort of "crochet long hand". . . am now hoping to locate someone who can assist in publishing this enchanting design. Perhaps this will echo in the correct direction to find someone. ~echoes of "Thanks!"~ recycle disciple
