    About

I fell in love with the yarn I used on this sweater before I decided what project I'd use it on. After I decided to use it on a v-neck cardigan, it took me f-o-r-e-v-e-r to complete it! It turned into one of those UFOs (UnFinished Objects) that sat around in my knitting basket for a year and a half. I think the reason that happened was because a baby came along in our family, and I dived into knitting things for her instead. Also, this isn't the easiest pattern I've ever used.

    Pattern

DROPS 112-11 - Drops jacket in 2 threads

    This pattern is from:
    DROPS Design

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 5.00mm (US 8) 100cm
    • Double Point 8.00mm (US 11) 20cm
Other : You don't have to use circular needles on the body of this sweater. It calls for straight needles. I used circular because I find them easier to manage.

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers
    • Buttons
Other : I secured the buttons on this cardigan with plain buttons on the back. I also sewed them on with the sweater yarn, and created a small "shank" behind the holes on the front.

    Measurements

Notes: I like my sweaters roomy, so I made this pattern in XL. I modified it to have slim cuffs, not the bell sleeves the pattern specifies. Also, I changed the hem, placket and cuffs to seed stitch, not ribbing.
