    About

I really love crochet bags. I have made many of my Simple Crochet Bag (http://oohlookatme.com/crochetbag.html), which I use as knitting and crochet project bags. I also use them for yarn storage and so does my daughter. As it has become a very popular pattern, I decided to make a newer version using a different stitch. My inspiration came from two places. The first was Emma Potter, from Potter and Bloom. I watched her podcast about the Suzette stitch and when she described the way the stitch is worked, it sounded familiar. Then Emma mentioned that is can also be known as a griddle stitch and I remembered where I had seen something similar. I had worked a crochet square for my Squares Blanket in Griddle Stitch, which was my second inspiration for the Suzetta Bag. I remembered really loving how it looked, so I thought I would use it for the pattern on the body of the bag and Suzetta was born and it only took a couple of hours! I have used this one as a handbag and a project bag.
