    About

After knitting the Three Palette Scarf, I wanted to knit more with Paintbox Yarns so I decided on a winter hat for my daughter because she has outgrown her old one.
I was going to attempt knitting in the round because I haven't tried it yet but my circular knitting needles were too long. I just knitted in rows and measured my daughters head to calculate how many stitches I would need. I knitted rib stitch for the brim and stockinette for the rest, with a bobble on top. I sewed up the seam using mattress stitch. It only took me a few hours to knit!
I was going to fold the brim up but my daughter decided that she like it better with it down. She really liked the finished result, especially as it fits over her hair and glasses!
I have put the pattern on my blog too - www.oohlookatme.com. I hope this brings you creative joy and inspiration.
