    About

This blanket is based on the Zookeeper's Blanket which I made for my grandson born in September 2017. I couldn't face making the same one again and as the parents of the awaited granddaughter love the beach and the sea I based the blanket on some of the squares from the Zookeepers blanket i.e. the fish, seal, crab and octopus and then searched on-line for some patterns for a beach hut, starfish, sailing boat, the sun, anchor and ice-cream. There is not a picture in every square this time and the blanket is not as big.

This is so gorgeous, I would love to do similar. Do you know where you found patterns for other bits? I have already done a zookeeper blanket too.

So pleased you like it! I have had a search for the starfish which came from MiCrocknit Creations by Barbara Summers.
The Beach hut - you can find something like this on Lovecraftshttps://www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/little-house-applique
The Ice cream also on love crafts -https://www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/ice-cream-cone-applique-crochet-pattern-by-raffamusadesigns - but not quite the same as mine
and the sailing boat - athttp://bunnymummy-jacquie.blogspot.com/2012/06/sail-away-crochet-pattern.html?m=1
Some of these may be a bit bigger than you need.
The other fish etc came from the Zookeepers Blanket.
Would love to see your version should you make it!

@Grannie Frannie: thank you so much! I am a relative crochet beginner so it may not look as good as this but I did manage the zookeeper blanket for my baby girl & looking to do something for a close friend who loves sailing.
