    About

    The Advent calendar I made out of wood 27 years ago when our son was a baby finally couldn't be repaired again. I saw a picture in a mail order catalog of a felt or fabric advent calendar with Santa and his very long legs and decided to knit one. I actually crocheted parts of it, knitted most of it and used duplicate stitch on the pockets for the numbers. I used a 2.5 lb barbell weight to stabilize him then realized his legs had to be pulled up when my two toddler great nephews came to visit so they wouldn't pull him down on their heads or feet. I'll add boots for next year.
