    My daughter, Rebecca, really wanted a mermaid tail blanket, and this pattern is the nicest one I’ve seen. It came as a kit from Black Sheep Wools. I did run out of the Aspen colour (lighter green) 2/3 of the way through making the tail and had to order another ball. I didn’t love the feel of knitting with the sequins, but the end result was worth it - there’s no such thing as too many sparkles when you’re a 9 year old girl!
