I have just started to be interested in knitting prem size items and to donate them is such a lovely idea. Your items look lovely. Can you tell me what size you make the tiny blankets.

Roughly 16 inchs by 14 inches one of the ways I do them is to do same amount of rows as stitches = 40 stitches 40 rows

I have found that knitting for premature babies is easier to knit from the neck down i.e yoke patterns there are less seams for sewing up and are more even and smooth for tiny babies. I download all my patterns and print them off for easy access

My now stapping lad was a surprize prem baby and if was not for ladies like you he would not have had any thing that fitted him.

I like to knit for the tiny babies within our local hospital I do this voluntarily and I buy all the bits and pieces that are needed for my projects. I make a large amount of different pieces and take to The Neo Natal Unit C.U.H.
