    About

I wanted to do the blanket as a stash buster, so used about 15 different but related colors. Since I had a lot of Stylecraft DK in violet and in cream, I decided they would be the main colors. There were also 3 different versions of plum, 5 different blues, 4 or 5 greens. I studied a Karastan rug I’ve loved for years, and determined that the (I think it’s 86 colors in that rug!) colors worked because they were variations of hue and shade, and there was one main color - burgundy rose. So I just dove in and started. Asymmetric pattern repeats on two rows were tricky!

This must have taken a long time to complete. It is very complex and intricate. The number of stitches in this pattern must be astronomical!
