    About

I had a major operation that required a long recovery/rest period. To stop me being bored, I decided to knit a cardigan (I haven't knitted before!). I chose the King Cole pattern because it stated 'easy' and because the design offered a simple throw-on cardigan perfect to wear with lounging pyjamas or as an extra layer in those colder autumn days that await us. Rather than use the acrylic Drifter Chunky, I chose the Tivoli Cascade Chunky in 60% wool and 40% silk in 'denim'.

    Pattern

King Cole Drifter Chunky - 4599

    This pattern is from:
King Cole Drifter Chunk - 4599

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 5.50mm (US 9) 35cm
    • Single Point 6.00mm (US 10) 35cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Holder

    Measurements

Notes: 36 inches (my full bust size): a little large despite checking tension. Next time I'll make a 34 inch.

Thank you Alison, I'm enjoying wearing it! My recovery is going so well that I might soon have to rely on "knitting is my meditation" to explain my addiction ????

Sorry to hear about your operation, hope you are well. The silver lining is that you got to learn a new craft and make something beautiful with it. You clearly have a natural talent! Well done.

Thank you. I am recovering well but fear I have a new addiction to yarn! Best wishes to you.
