    About

Having made the Painted Roses Blanket in it's signature colours for my Mum as a Christmas gift in 2015, I decided that I would see how the squares worked in a single colour, and ended up using grey and cream to make a baby blanket for my good friends Suz and Josh when they were expecting little Leo!

I love how it turned out, and it showed me that changing the colour of the yarn can transform a pattern - it also involved significantly less ends to weave in!

How much yarn did you have to use for your Blanket, which is beautiful by the way.

Beautiful blanket. It looks lovely in blue, grey, and cream.

Thanks Julie - it was also a lot quicker to make in the plain coloured squares than the original pattern!
