I had knitted this pattern for myself, and Moira liked it and thought it would be ideal to add an extra layer of warmth - so I knitted this one for her. Unfortunately, an accident has meant that Moira is confined to a wheelchair, but she is always cheerful and smart and takes great pride in her appearance, so I hoped I could meet her expectations! She decided not to go for the pattern on the centre back of the cardigan, because she thought it might be uncomfortable for her back, so I knitted it in plain stocking stitch. To complete the project, I couldn't resist knitting 'Moira bunny' in matching colour, for her to amuse her baby grandson! I'm afraid I have had to model the 'cardishawl' for the photographs, but Moira tells me she is very pleased with the finished result and that it fits - so that's all I need to know. It's really satisfying to be able to knit something that other people can enjoy.
