    About

    Marie is my eldest daughter's best friend - they used to play together a lot when they were little girls. Now they are both grown up, and Marie is away at university. She is a huge fan of the Minions, so when I saw the pattern for the Minion Granny Square, I wanted to make something with it for her. In the end I made a lot of changes to the original pattern - I wanted the background to be more solid, and a sharper outline for the Minion's body- and all the rest of the cushion's design is my own as well. And I had so much fun creating the faces of the Minions ( and their hairstyles....)! My daughter likes the one with the goofy grin and the centre parting best, but I think my favourite is the one who's obviously just had some hair-raising experience. Next week they will all go on a journey in their gift box to celebrate Christmas with Marie!
