    About

My niece loves the Disney film Moana and sailing/boats so I found this vintage Patons pattern for a sailboat jumper and sailor doll which sits in a pocket on the boat and I intended to adjust both patterns to make her a Moana in her sailing boat jumper. I used the basic pattern for the sailor but made buttonholes for armholes and French knitted the arms and slotted the long i-cord through the holes. I made the skirt and top up entirely myself using my newly learned picot cast in method. I used a rag tugging type technique for the hair and pulling it through with crochet hook. I used beading to make a mini necklace with the "heart of Te Fiti" necklace. And I used crochet to make the flower to go in her hair.
