I made this for My nephew/Godson's soon to be born baby girl

    My sister died unexpectedly several years ago before ever having the chance to see her children married, or to have grandchildren. Both of her sons are now married and have families, and I've tried to be there to fill a bit of the emptiness they feel from time to time with no mom to share their life accomplishments. They both have sons, but the oldest son's wife is now carrying the first girl child seen in their father's side of the family for four generations. It's a very big deal and time for celebration. Each child has received a handmade blanket when they were born, and this time I was thrilled to be using pink yarn. I'm so happy for them. Madyson will carry my sister's name as her middle name, Jayne.
