I love the mane! I used a yarn that didn't give such a wonderfully fluffy mane, I'm thinking I'll have to make it again with but with the rainbow knit eyelash yarn. It's so fabulous to see how everyone does the pattern and makes it their own.

Thanks Zitah, I've just made another Lester using a different yarn, I'm like you always looking to get that perfect yarn for the mane, not sure I've found it yet but I love to keep trying.

Hi Christine I've just started Lester the Lion in Flutterby Chunky, made his body, but I am wondering about the front legs on yours, they look different than the pattern, is it that you have stitched them on differently, or did you adjust the pattern in some way? Would really appreciate advice as your version is gorgeous! Thanks, Sue R

Hi Sue, I used the same front legs as the pattern but did reduce the number of rows by about 5 and I positioned them at the front of the body rather than the side. For this Lester though I used a different pattern for the back legs, the same designer Gypsycream and it's called Puppy Dog, they fitted in well with the overall size of the lion. Hope that helps.

Oh wow! He's perfect! Love your yarn choices as the yarns I used are now out of production.

Thanks Pat, I really liked your version in the Phildar Phil Douce but like you say it's not readily available now so the flutterby was the next best thing.
