    About

This is a gift for my nephew’s wife for a Chinese wedding celebration in Beijing.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 4.50mm (US 7) 150cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle

    Measurements

    185cm x 70cm

Notes: I’ve knitted this shawl twice before and this one turned out considerably bigger than the others. I knitted it on 4.5mm needles instead of 5mm. I definitely think the yarn is not the same quality as before, it seems much thinner and the lace pattern seems to be much more open and loopy (may be a different manufacturer?) I am happy with the finished item but it is not as nice as my others.
Tip: it is helpful to use stitch markers for the 20 stitch pattern repeat but the 20 stitches are not consistent throughout the pattern. The stitch markers need to be moved 1 stitch as follows:-
Rows 5 and 27, 1 stitch towards the centre
Rows 17 and 39, 1 stitch away from the centre.

Thank you, it’s not the easiest pattern to knit and I did a lot of unpicking!
