Do you mind if I ask you about blocking? I never do it, mostly because my mum (80) has never done it in 75 years of knitting, and I'm not sure how to go about it.

        Hallo Donna,
Yes, earlier, blocking probably did not work. I just finish the job manually in some washing machine on the wool, rinse, let me lightly spin in the washing machine (in the laundry bag of fine linen) and spread out on a straight mat. I'm not pulling anything, I just really straighten and let it dry out
I'm sorry, my English is not perfect, maybe this description can be understood :-))))..... .

@Vera K: Not at all, I understand perfectly. Thank you so much! I'm just not sure I'm brave enough to put my newly finished knitting in the washing machine ????! I'll make something small and give it a go!

@Donna T: I prefer to wash it in the sink, for example, manually, then just let the machine wash at about 800-900 turns in a cloth bag. This prevents the possible pulling of the threads. That's how I've been doing it for a long time and without any problems, the things are still beautiful and I will soon dry .... I hold my thumbs to get it all.

This wee bonnet is absolutely beautiful, as is everything else you've made.

        Hallo Theresa,
Unfortunately I do not have a pattern for this cap , it is my own pattern, but the lace pattern that I used on the cap is called "horseshoe" you can find it here for example: http://www.knitting-bee.com/knitting-stitch-library/fancy-stitch-knitting-patterns/horseshoe-lace-knitting-stitch
