Japanese Flower Blanket

I made this for myself

    About

I wanted a blanket for myself on cold winters nights. I love this blanket but unfortunately it is pure wool and makes me itch. It does look lovely draped over the couch though.

Update: I have written up the pattern, working from the finished blanket. Hopefully there aren't too many errors. The pattern does not include the border.

Thank you Jacque, but unfortunately I made the pattern up as I went along and don't actually have it written down anywhere (I may have my own shorthand version jotted down somewhere, but I don't know where). The border pattern is online somewhere. If I get a moment I'll look into the name of it and see if I can find the link.

I found the link to the border. I modified the pattern to make the border wider by adding five rows of the loopy pattern before the actual pattern start.

@Kim S: Hi Kim, thank you for replying. Don't worry - I hope you find the pattern you made up just so that you have for yourself again. I appreciate you letting me know how the border is made - it's always good to have more choice when making new items. Jacque. NZ

@Jacque T: I decided to write up the pattern by looking over the finished blanket. Hopefully there aren't any errors. The pattern does not include the border.

Thank you. I love how it turned out, just wish it wasn't so scratchy.
