I suffer from depression. Once my first son was born it got quite bad and went un-diagnosed for about 3 years. I had knitted and crocheted items here and there but never got into it seriously. I went through A LOT of rough patches and the biggest one was when my marriage broke up and I moved back to NZ from Australia.
To get me through I started to knit and crochet again to keep my mind occupied and hands busy. During the next year I got back together with an old flame, got pregnant to him and broke it off with him before bubs was born as I couldn't handle his MANY issues.
Once bubs was here and I was in yet another new relationship, my new beau encouraged me to start my hobby again. When I said I couldn't find anything that caught my attention to work on, he pushed me further and got me excited to start designing my own patterns!
So this is the end result of my very 1st pattern! One of many squares for a Tim Burton themed blanket :) And I have NEVER been happier ♥
