    About

I wanted to use up some pretty yarns and try a new shape and thought hexagons would be fun. I'm really pleased with the finished article and my friends love the blanket!
There are lots of basic hexagon patterns on YouTube and online generally and then I managed to find tips on putting them together. I used the single crochet method, connecting end to end first then row by row.
I used DK cotton yarns and a 4mm hook. Lots of patterns finish using half hexagons but I like this uneven edge instead. I did an extra round all the way around the edge putting 3 stitches in at each corner.
