    About

    I’ve already made six of the main characters in DK, so I swapped to Aran weight to make Hagrid a bit bigger. I used Stylecraft Eskimo for the hair and beard. I adapted the basic therapy puppet pattern I use when making for the Knit-for-Nowt Charity. Hagrid’s coat Is DK and I added one big inside pocket for his wand(oops, sorry, umbrella) and two outside for dragon’s eggs and suchlike.

      I love hand puppets, and it's a very good lookalike I think Robbie Coltrane would be thrilled.
