My Aunty who lives away, is currently awaiting heart surgery. She loves pinks and purples and a bit of sparkle, so for Christmas I decided to send her some flowers. These flowers will both send her my love and give her comfort which will last for ever...............
The central square is knitted in a panel of 20 stitches which is mitred to turn corners and is attached to the previous work at the left side as S1, K1. PSSO. The remainder of the work is done is squared lines of crochet, blending in all the colours from the central flowers. The final lace edge is from my book 'Crochet Borders' by Eddie Eckman. There is a foot square crochet square behind the flower basket to hide the stitching. A simple pink edged white butterfly with a body of beads, sparkles just above the flowers

I love the depth of feeling and love that oozes from the bright cheerful colours and flowers in this blanket. One word describes this blanket - "Awesome". A credit to you; very well done.
