This little cape-like pullover is worked in dk yarn so it can be worn indoors or out, as a layering piece instead of a shawl or cardigan. It is intended to be worn with about 10-12 inches (25 -30) cm of positive ease.
It is worked from the top down, seamlessly and in the round. Short rows are used to shape the neckline. If you prefer not to have eyelets, the central ‘yo’ increases can be replaced with ‘m1’ or lifted increases instead, resulting in the same shape but no holes ;).
Use any dk or sport weight yarn that works at the noted gauge, and results in a fluid fabric. The sample is knit with Cascade 220 Sport giving it a rustic, heathery quality, but it would work great in a smoother yarn with more drape as well (e.g. containing silk or alpaca).
