    About

I made this for my recently turned two year old daughter. I didn’t care much for the child poncho patterns I found online. So I just winged it on this one with the idea of making myself a matching one later. The finished measurements are about 18” wide and 13” tall. I CO 66 sts and worked in 2x2 rib for 6 rows finishing on a RS row. Then started working bee stitch pattern till desired length. On the first row of the bee stitch pattern I k2tog to get to an odd number for the pattern. You could also do in increase instead. For the neckline I knit 27 sts in pat BO 11 sts then finished row in pat. Then every other RS row decreased one time per row four times. Then BO all sts. When both the front and back are finished I picked up sts around the neck and knit for about 2-3 inches to make a kind of slouchy cowl around the neck.
