    About

This is a down sized version for children of my Carrie fingerless gloves for ladies so that your little girlie can be the same as mummy. Simple to make and taking very little yarn they are trendy for little people whilst leaving fingers free to whatever they like!
The pic shows one glove in each of the pattern sizes.

The original gloves were made in Rowan Pure Wool DK which has since been discontinued and replaced with Rowan Superwash DK.

Hi Pat, I love these garter stitch fingerless gloves and your garter stitch hug scarf for children. I want to knit a winter set for my two granddaughters of a hug scarf, fingerless gloves and a matching garter stitch hat... so I am wondering do you have a hat pattern that I could use to complete a set for a five and a three year old?

Hi Denise ... So glad you love my knits ... Do you mean a pattern for a hat to complete the set? I have a hat pattern in the pipeline but it will be a few weeks before it is ready ... We've just moved into a rental whilst the house we're buying is renovated ... There's too much work to be done whilst living on a building site with my health as it is so we're renting ... Life is crazy but my knitting is keeping me sane! As soon as the pattern is ready I'll pop it on here ... I'm working on designing in amongst my custom orders so a very busy Buzybee!

@Pat E: Yes, a garter stitch hat for children, and then I could make a little set of hat, gloves and scarf, for each little girl who will be 3 and 5 by the time I knit them for their winter later in the year. So a hat pattern in a month or two would be wonderful!! I have been looking for a scarf pattern in your 'hug scarf' style for ages... their mother had one like this as a child in Hong Kong and suggested knitting one for the girls, so I was very excited to find your pattern! And then I saw the gorgeous fingerless gloves and the story grew to thinking about a hat too!!! Best of luck with your renovations... always a hectic time!
