I've never crocheted anything before but I saw these boots online & fell in love with them! After teaching myself how to crochet watching YouTube videos I decided to give them a try & fell in love with crocheting in the process!!
Hi Shannon B, I'm a beginner too but someone else thinks they are intermediate level? I know you had some false starts but your got there and they fit, don't they?
are they comfy?
They are so comfy! There were a few times that i had to pull things apart & watch the video again but as far as stitch work, the pattern only uses straightforward stitches, there's no advanced stitch work involved! Give them a try, i'm sure you'll be able to make them & they really are the best slippers i've ever had!!
I'm loving these cabin boots, but, as was mentioned, making boots out of flip flops is not an exact science...i've taken some liberties with the pattern and am customizing my boots for the perfect fit!
So happy to hear you are teaching yourself. That's what I did over 50 years ago, and I'm still going strong at it. I love to crochet, and have made "mucho" items, in my time.Hope you enjoy your new endeavor for years to come.
