    About

A friend gave me this lovely yarn which was exactly the colours I was looking for to make myself a scarf. I've used Broken Rib stitch as this makes a cute knitted texture on each side of the scarf, it also keep relatively flat.

I love the effect of the broken rib on this scarf, Josephine R. Is this technique hard to do? The scarf looks beautiful & very classy in this colourway.

Josephine, I am attracted to the softness this scarf displays. Soft things give me a feeling of safety and comfort,. I guess that 's why I love knitting as much as I do. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

I remember the first time I moved from the regular knit purl scarf. I always wanted to do something that looked even. That was many yesterdays ago. See your knitting I can tell you that you will be knitting amazing things . This scarf is perfectly knitted. Your stitches are even and the colours make it just perfect!

Congrats and keep up the good work! Can't wait!

Looking lovely. Broken Rib is such an easy stitch with just the right amount of stretch. It's a brilliant stitch for scarves as there is no obvious right or wrong side. Have you tried adding a classy button - just adds to the fun! Love your grey combo - am just finishing lots of pink and my grey palette is next project.

Those colors are great together. Would be ideal for male or female or make two so a couple can have matching scarves to wear on Valentines Day!

Your scarf looks so sensational that I've been inspired to try the stitch in an upcoming project. I'll be using Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool in Birch Tweed.

Hey Stephanie! I didn't really use a pattern, the stitch pattern is called Broken Rib, which is made of a row of knit on the RS, then on the WS: K1, P1 to the end. I've cast on 70 stitches which comes to around 35 cm wide. And I'm going to just keep going until I run out of yarn!
