    About

I made this for my Niece's Birthday next month, she's mad about Border Collie's and has two rescued girls Nellie and Wilma. Not sure what they will think about this young upstart propping up the kitchen door.

    Alan Dart Border Collie

This Alan Dart dog is amazing too. Absolutely stunning, like all your projects. The detail is incredible and you have such a gift for making them look so lifelike. You are very clever! Your niece must have been thrilled. Not so sure about her dog's reaction!

Thanks Sue and yes she was pleased I made it originally to prop her kitchen door open but the dogs were not impressed so she has it high up on a shelf. I think they thought it was their playmate.

Hello Christine, I came across the border collie doorstop that you made as I am looking for one and fell completely in love with it! I am not a knitter but would like to ask you if you would consider making me one please? It is so beautiful and so like my border collie Leo. I appreciate you may be very busy with other projects, but if you could consider my request I would be so grateful, thank you. Mandy

I am sure Nellie and Wilma were surprised when he didn't move! Amazingly realistic.

I think they were very surprised, my niece was so worried about the way they were stalking it the doorstop had to be reassigned as a bookend!

Looks great, I have this pattern, so might give this a try. Have border collies myself and doorstop looks just like them.

That's brilliant, I have a Border Collie called Belle and I think she would love that for a little play mate 😊

Thanks Sally, I'm not sure how long he'll survive as a doorstop, he might end up on top of a cupboard where the two cats go for peace!
