Of course - gauge is not crucial for this project. With a worsted weight yarn and larger needles you'd probably get a larger shawl, or you could just do fewer repeats of the lace sections. In fact, you could adapt this pattern to any yarn weight simply by increasing or decreasing the number of repeats of the lace sections until you reach your desired size.

Thank you! No, the edges don't curl at all, but it's really important to block this shawl. It really helps to open up the stitches and to define the contour.
